For my Research Project I focused on baseball and how it grew/affected minority groups. Since we live in the Appalachian region I wanted to squeeze in some fun facts about baseball’s history here in the Appalachian. Following that I had a brief mention of baseball’s origin in Cuba and how the sport affected black communities in the state before and after the Great Migration and went all the way up to the highly influential Jackie Robinson.
