Before reading this article, I never have had heard of the Fútbol player, LUIS SUAREZ; or better known according to the article that he was better referred to in Uruguay, a Pelota player. Luis Suarez grew up playing in a rough and poor living environment and played a lot of street ball. He loved to play “ball” as a former mentor stated. Luis Suarez’s personality is one of a kind, and that of a villain. I myself watch a lot of NASCAR, and drivers with these personality traits as of Luis Suarez, tend to lean as some of my favorites. A true villain of a sport is always seen as the MVP, the best of the best, an athlete of the era. So good at what they do but hated by so many in regard to their ruthless personality, though so bad in a moral since, it tastes so good in the eyes of a reporter. They are front and center with attention and news coverage due to an unforeseen stature of negative actions or word choices that are publicized in sport media. According to a reporter from a responsible newspaper, the Toronto Star, the ESPN article states that the newspaper published:

“He’s the diviest, whiniest, annoyingest player on Earth. Though there are plenty of aspirants, he is easily the most hated man in football. … North of his feet, there is nothing good about Suarez. He couldn’t be more awful if he came out of the tunnel twirling mustachios.”

Luis Suarez is known for biting people, excessive and flagrant head bunting into people, and a vibrantly negative personality when it comes to his language in communicating the problems and altercations that he enacts on the playing field. This quote is a perfect one to describe his entertaining personality for the people who love him and mostly for the ones who deeply hate him. Villains like these are not always the most popularly liked in the sports industry but ends up drawing the most exciting attention at the end of the day due to their Villian personality that attracts so many viewers who like what they see.
