In the first of its kind, Raanan Rein writes his book Futbol, Jews, and the Making of Argentina. Rein succeeds in attempting to explore a topic with very little academic chatter around it: how immigrants and their descendants integrated into Latin American culture. In such a broad topic, Rein focuses on the neighborhood of Villa Crespo and the futbol club it was built around: Atlanta.
