As someone who does not follow pro sports as much as they would like to, I am very excited to learn more about sports and how they fit into our cultural history and their relation to different historical contexts. I grew up in New England so I have grown up with die-hard Patriots, Bruins, Red Sox, and Celtics fans! Although I am a huge Bruins fan my passion lies with the Equestrian sport. I grew up doing jumping and am currently on the App State Equestrian Team as a novice rider!
This is a picture of Harry de Layer and his Horse, Snowman. Harry bought Snowman off a slaughterhouse-bound truck for 80 dollars and turned him into a showjumping champion. My style of riding and training is very much influenced by de Layer and is one of my favorite pros in the sport!
