The picture above is me and my brother at the first rugby game (and first sports game) I had ever seen him play – he’s played football, rugby, and now lacrosse. I’ve never been much of a sports person, but through him, and my friends, I’m starting to learn a little bit more. I elected to take this class as I am slowly starting to become more interested in games – but also because I am fascinated by social history and culture, and regardless of how I feel about sports as a hobby/interest I think they are a fascinating lens to examine the world in past, present, and future terms
